
Slovakia is a democratic republic with a parliamentary and cabinet system
of government. The head of state is the President, elected for a five-year term of office in general election.

Although Slovakia does not have access to the sea, it has great tourist values. The Beskidy Mountains, the Tatra Mountains, national parks, numerous caves and thermal pools, excellent cuisine, good beer and cheese are a guarantee of fine holiday in Slovakia.
Slovakia is a small country situated in Central Europe. In the north it borders Poland, in the south Hungary, in the south-west Austria, in the north-west
the Czech Republic, and in the east Ukraine.

Slovakia is a unitary state, divided into 8 regions (Bratislava Region, Trnava Region, Trenčín Region, Nitra Region, Žilina Region, Banská Bystrica Region, Prešov Region and Košice Region) and 79 districts. Every region has its own capital. There are considerable differences between individual regions in terms of tradition, customs and culture.
